Who are Pulsar?

Pulsar is a British protective clothing brand that designs its garments at its headquarters in Worcestershire. The business behind it goes back to 1979. The Pulsar name was created in 2000 for a range of reflective accessories, and its first hi-vis workwear collection followed in 2007. Since then the brand has grown into one of the best-known names in UK hi-vis. It also offers fits designed specifically for women and has put a lot of effort into using recycled materials.

What is Pulsar known for?

Hi-vis built to recognised standards

Hi-vis is at the heart of the brand. Pulsar hi vis garments come in fluorescent yellow and orange, and many are certified to EN ISO 20471, the European standard for high-visibility clothing that grades garments as Class 1, 2 or 3 depending on how much visible material they have. Standards vary from garment to garment, so check the product page for the exact class and certification before you buy.

Rail and protective workwear

Rail is one of Pulsar's biggest markets. The brand makes orange garments for people working on or near the line, where UK rail rules set minimum hi-vis requirements. If you need Pulsar rail wear in the UK, look for the Rail Spec items in this collection. Pulsar sold its first electric ARC hi-vis garments in 2016 and now makes multi-hazard clothing for workers who face arc flash, flame or static risks as well as the need to be seen.

Technology and sustainability

Pulsar's sportswear-inspired REACT range uses certified recycled fabrics, and the brand's newer garments include bamboo-enriched polos and recycled-content waterproofs.
