About SIP Protection

SIP Protection makes chainsaw protective clothing and PPE for forestry and arboriculture. Its story began in 1970 with S.I.P. (Société Industrielle de Prêt-à-porter), a trouser manufacturer in Foix in south-west France, which moved into chainsaw protection in the early 1990s. SIP Protection was set up as a separate company in 1994, with the rhino as its logo, and is now part of the Sioen Industries group.

The range covers chainsaw trousers, bib and braces, jackets, chaps, gloves and boots certified to EN ISO 11393, plus brushcutting, outdoor and hi-vis styles. SIP Protection designs for all-day comfort and durability, offers lightweight and ventilated trousers, and tests its kit in the field with arborists and forestry workers.
