How we chose
Our team works with clients every day to test and wear this kit on real sites, and we listen to their feedback alongside what people say online and on review sites. We bring it all together so you get clear, honest information to pick the right product for you.
Using our supplier certification data, we read EN 14058 cool-environment protection where carried (thermal resistance class 1–3, for example Class 2 at 0.137 m²·K/W) and, for flame-retardant picks, EN ISO 11612 heat and flame codes (A1/A2 limited flame spread, B convective, C radiant, E molten iron, F contact heat), IEC 61482-2 arc protection (box-test class APC 1 and, where given, open-arc ATPV or ELIM in cal/cm²) and EN 1149-5 antistatic fabric. We also read fabric weight, fibre blend and wicking from supplier specifications.
Every pick is active and in stock, with clear photos and sizes available. Scores weight review quality (38%, a Bayesian average rating), review volume (17%), our product research (30%: trade bestseller signals, price against the market, colour range and verified standards), photo coverage (8%) and size availability (7%). We only show verified ratings and review counts, with links, we pick no more than two products per brand, and every review summary is written in our own words.

Frequently asked questions
Why wear a base layer at work?
It keeps sweat off your skin, which keeps you warmer.
Should base layers be tight?
A close fit works best, as it moves moisture away from your skin, but it should never restrict movement.
Can base layers be worn under hi-vis?
Yes. A base layer sits under any work layer, including hi-vis, without changing how the outer garment fits.
How quickly will my order arrive?
Plain items usually arrive in 2–4 working days to Great Britain, Northern Ireland and Ireland. Branded items take 7–10 working days. Every order also comes with 28-Day Returns.
Can you add our logo?
Yes. An uploaded logo has a one-off £9.99 setup fee, then £3.99 per position per garment. A text logo has no setup fee and is £3.99 per position per garment.
