How we chose
Our team works with clients every day to test and wear this kit on real sites, and we listen to their feedback alongside what people say online and on review sites. We bring it all together so you get clear, honest information to pick the right product for you.
Using our supplier certification data, we screened the certified picks against EN ISO 16321-1:2022, which replaced EN 166 and EN 170 for new certification on 11 November 2025; most goggles on sale still carry EN 166 certificates. We read the field-of-use and impact codes: 3 (liquid droplets), 4 (large dust), 5 (gas and fine dust), 9 (molten metal), impact B, S (increased robustness), optical class 1, K (anti-scratch) and N (anti-fog), plus the EN 170 UV filter code.
Every pick is active and in stock, with clear photos and sizes available. Scores weight review quality (38%, a Bayesian average rating), review volume (17%), our product research (30%: trade bestseller signals, price against the market, colour range and verified standards), photo coverage (8%) and size availability (7%). We only show verified ratings and review counts, with links, we pick no more than two products per brand, and every review summary is written in our own words.
